The Youth Council is an advisory committee to the Alpine Shire Council on all things Youth. We represent the Shire's four secondary schools and the community in general.

Our objectives include promoting and encouraging the involvement of youth in planning and developing matters associated with youth and to ensure that youth views are conveyed to council. We also provide feedback and advice on youth projects.

We attend monthly meetings, promote youth issues, get involved in community organisations, organise great events, meet lots of people and generally have fun.

If you are aged 12-24 you could be a part of the Youth Council too.

Nominations are sought in October each year. So, if you are interested in representing your peers and making a difference, keep your eyes and ears open so you are ready when we call for nominations for 2010.
